Khali Mofuoa is currently holding positions of Associate and Research Associate with the Ethics Institute (TEI) and University of Pretoria (UP). He is also a part-time lecturer in moral philosophy with University of Pretoria and adjunct lecturer in business ethics and corporate governance with UNISA School of business Leadership. He has a PhD and MPhil in Applied Ethics from Charles Sturt University, Australia and Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He also holds an ICA Professional Postgraduate Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) from International Compliance Association (ICA) in association with Alliance Manchester School of Business, UK.
He is an experienced and certified ethics practitioner and GRC professional with great passion for ethics. He has previously worked for Vodacom Group and most recently, Road Accident Fund as an Ethics Practitioner responsible for governance and management of organisational ethics. He is a proud recipient of the 2008 Vodacom ‘Roll of Honour’ award for excellence and superior performance in implementing Vodacom Group ethics programme called ‘Ethics Along The Way’ in Vodacom Group and its operating companies in Southern, Eastern and Western Africa and a proud appointee to the a Panel of Public Administration and Management Specialists in Ethics by South African Public Service Commission.He is a seasoned corporate ethics training facilitator with more the 15 years professional work experience. He is a Certified Ethics Officer with the Ethics Institute and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Professional. He is currently doing Leadership Professional Ethics & Compliance (LPEC) certification with the US-based Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI) Ethics Academy and participating in ECI’s 2024 Whistleblowing practitioner-led working group.
He is a proud awardee of the 2023 Fall ECI Ethics Academy Scholarship funded by Northrop Grumman Foundation and KPMG LLP. He is a member of South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA), Health Professionals Council of South Africa (HPCSA), the Financial Services Conduct Authority (FSCA), the Office of the Pension Funds Adjudicator (OPFA), and the FAIS Ombuds Ethics Committees.
